Blog —is it a new idea?
August 31, 2005This is my first post as a blogger. Blog, i though a lot about it that what is the meaning of blog and what is this for? I started surfing few blogs and founnd that this idea (blog) is not new. Earlier it was very common as people write about themselves, or if i may say blog, in a diary and keep it in a safe place as they consider it private. I read one article about Jan Nisar Akhtar that he published his letters he wrote to his wife along with his wife replies. No body liked that rather everyone said ‘thu thu’. (Indian film poet Javed Akhter is the son of Jan Nisar Akhtar). Now where we stand, we publish in public not only our thoughts, dreams, wishes, and most of all about ourself but we publish events, secrets, planning, and most of all about others without informing them. Now nobody say thu thu, nobody object, and nobody dislike. Is this the (modern) culture developed in our society withing oursleves or we borrow it from media. What is it?
You may find the above article as puzzle but wat i need, with ur help, to put the puzzle block in the right and its appropriate place.

Wow…. A nice way to thrash blogs – by blogging!
Waise that’s very true. As much as people are insisting on privacy these days, the more this trend is opening up. People won’t read their emails on public computers, but they’d write personal stuff on blogs. That’s a huge contrast.
well first of all its not a new idea, its simply modification of the old idea, that’s writing diary. the only difference is those diaries were meant to b very secretive and this blog is publicised. but if u say its a contrast, i wont agree. ’cause here ppl only write the things which they want to share, how can u say, they open up their hearts and write whateva is happening in their lives?
i dont write wats happening around or wid me. for me blog is a place where i keep my collections. for other ppl it might b a diary, but they r fully aware of wat to share and wat not to.
secondly, we hide things from those who know that whom its all about, here if, for instance, i am reading about ur life… now wat? do i know u? am i gonna help u in ne physical way? am i gonna tell ur parents or ne other person from whom u r hiding it all? am i gonna hurt u in ne way? or do i know the other ppl about whom u r writing things in ur blog? nahi na? so it doesnt make ne difference if u r blogging and publishing it.
infact, i think for the generation like ours, we need a place where we can atleast bring out the fuss going inside us, i hope that’ll help us in relaxing our minds to some extent. inshAllah:)–>
