Ghazal – jo meray dil k qareeb hay

April 20, 2006

Meray uthtay samay us nay yeh poocha, phir kab aao gay tum?
is tarap say mujh ko uska poochna acha laga

hum jantay thay la hasil hay aik honay ka sochna
uska yun nazarain jhuka kar sochna acha laga

may nay to aakhir dhoond he lee apnee shaeeree key wajah
apnay he dard may mujh ko nazam kehna acha laga

har shaam meree aankhain uska rasta dekhteen hain
raat bhar uska yun meree aankhoon say behna acha laga

hum jantay hain waqay-aa kuch aur hay magar phir bhee
amir ko yun bay khudee may gum rehna acha laga

Want to be a Successful in Your Professional Life?

April 11, 2006

“Toastmasters offers a proven way to improve your communication skills. By participating in a fun and supportive Toastmasters group, you’ll become a better speaker and leader and gain confidence to succeed in whatever path you’ve chosen in life.”

I have become a member of this club. I attended so far only one meeting and found very useful. I always thought, that being a very good debater in my school, college, and university days, I don’t need this kind of training. I was completely wrong. The reason is that it really requires a lot of courage, confidence, and poise to present engineering proposals in front of the board of directors of your company. I feel that this kind of clubs groom your personality. I believe that you can get most of jobs done in your favor with good communication and negotiation skills. I suggest, all professionals reading this blog join toastmasters or any other club providing this kind of services.

Lovely Morning Session

April 10, 2006

After a very long time (about two years), i played Cricket today in the morning with my office colleagues. The climate was too good and i really enjoyed the whole session. It was fun. I feel that such activities provide an opportunity to have a friendly environment in the office. Although every joint and every muscle of body is definitely not happy, it seems that they all are crying. I dont care, coz i enjoyed a lot.

Reading: these days i m reading a book ‘journalaee sarak’ written by Raza Ali Abidi. I recommend reading the book.

listening: Ghalib’s Ghazals by Jagjeet and chitra.
