First Birthday of my Blog

August 31, 2006
I have completed my first-year of blogging. It’s been a year now and, honestly speaking, it was so quick. I really learned a lot from the blogging. The important thing during the last year while blogging, I realized that all Pakistani youth, irrespective of where they live and what they do, are very much patriotic, cultured, and religious. They know their cultural and religious limitations. They are bold enough to accept their mistakes or wrong doings in public and brave enough to let other people know their mistakes and wrong doings. They always stand together at the time of crisis (we have experienced unity during the catastrophe (earthquick) in Pakistan last October). They share their feelings, happiness, sorrows, problems, pains, etc with their generation and the generations before them. They all are very intellectuals, sensitive, courageous, fearless, passionate, and lively. I am proud all of you my Friends.

During the last year of my blogging, I did have a chance to post some of my poems (which I think no one can take a risk to publish …lol), which was very well appreciated and received by all of you. I thank you all. My nazam ‘May chota sa aik bacha hoon” was published and featured in few blogs.

I started writing blog, exactly a year before, after Absar has explained me about the blogging and insisted to have my own blog. My first post was about writing the blog. At that time I was not sure if I could continue with this stuff, but as the time passes I felt like I am addicted to this blog world. One can easily feel my addiction by knowing that even after spending a long hectic day in the office I always visit some blogs and try to update mine. The relation I developed with the blog is extremely fabulous and I enjoyed every bit of it.

My achievements during last year is as follows:

professionally, I got promotion and salary increment;
personally, I got married;
bloggly, I made friends and well wishers.

During the last year of my life, I come to know few guys listed on my blog. Few comments about them (alphabetically arranged) are as follows with the disclaimer that I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by putting my observation about my new blog friends. These are just the feelings I gathered by reading their blogs. In real life they may be totally different personalities:

Absar : Always there with me when I need a shoulder. He is always there to share my feelings, my happiness, and sorrows. What can I say about him, he is just the dearest. He is very talented, intelligent, sensitive, innocent, enthusiastic and energetic (at times), and above all a complete iMac (Apple) freak. He knows the art of writing the feelings on paper by using the appropriate words.

Aks : I always enjoy reading her blog. I don’t know why, but I feel that she thinks like me who rarely show the emotions specially the sad ones. She seems very composed, controlled, sensitive and respective.

Fahad : Portraying good image of Pakistan and Islam thru his blog.

Green Head : I admire his style of expression. Most of his posts give me a refreshing feeling. He is very witty and at the same time a very keen observer of life. He has the ability of putting his thoughts, expressions, experiences and feelings in writing very well. I always appreciate his comments on my blog. Seems little dis-hearted at times though.

Khawab : Very bold, energetic, sensitive, and enthusiastic. I always feel that her posts have some kind of a hidden message, the message that has some important meanings in it. Sometimes I feel that she wants to write so much but fail to arrange her thoughts or cant find appropriate words to express her feelings.

Naqi : I like his style of expressing himself. I think he is very romantic and living in the fantasy world (most of the time)

Raheel : May chota sa aik baccha hoon par kaam karoon ga baray baray … this is the feeling I always have for Raheel. He notices the things happening around us in deep detail, which probably no one of us might note. I think he is very much expressive, kinda bold, innocent, friendly, energetic, and party type of boy yet very sensitive. He loves tagging people * wink *.

Whose game is this – Hair or Inzi or ?

August 27, 2006

All of us know what happened at Oval’s Cricket ground at the 4th day of Test match between Pakistan and England. I followed all interviews, TV shots, reports, etc. The series of unfortunate events happened on that day as follows:
– Pakistan were in a very good position to win after having been defeated in two test matches (the best of England against Pakistan ever in the history of the game).
– England were about to loose the match.
– England coach visited Mike Proctor (match referee) regarding the condition of the ball (remember it was then the ball was only 12 overs old)
– Darrell Hair’s wishes to settle in England to earn money
– During the 56th over umpire change the ball without Inzi consultation and offer 5 extra runs indicating the Pakistani Team is cheat
– Inzi continue playing and Bob Woolmer went to Mike’s room, twice.
– Inzi launched the protest and refused to play after Tea until the matter is finalized
– Darrell declare that the match is over and award a win to England.
– Match umpires report to the ICC and Inzi was charged against ball tempering and disrepute of the game.
– Darrell resignation (with the request to ICC not to disclose the letter to the public) to ICC and demand $500,000 to quit from ICC elite umpire panel.

If you think all these events, my personal analysis is that it was nothing but the bookies game. Darrell’s resignation with the demand (hidden threat as if his demand will not be accepted that he will disclose all the names involved in this) indicates that there is the third party involvement. Lets hope that Pakistan teams’ name will be cleared from all this game.

Tribute to Quaid-e-Azam

August 21, 2006

On the occasion of Independence Day (14 August) of Pakistan, Karachities were celebrating the occassion infront of Maza-e-Quaid. All of a sudden chaos started due to the fight between the group of people. They damaged the not only the surroundings of Mazar-e-Quaid but also the premises of Mazar including the marble flooring, trees, etc. What a way to celebrate the Independence Day and what a way to salute the Father of the Nation. What shall I say about this attitude.

Isnt it Tribute?
